hahaha what bullshit…
they still don’t get it. they’ve tried changing shit like 3 times so far this year alone to try and keep any kind of footing in the rental business. the absortion of wal-mart’s rental service into netflix clearly shows that the direct mail services are kicking brick and mortar ass.
all blockbuster did was change around the terminology of their rental agreement, so that after their imposed due date, you end up purchasing the product, and then smugly give you 30 days to return it, and then charge you a “restocking fee”. which can vary greatly by location or franchise.
late fee = restocking fee
doesn’t a due date imply that they want their shit back sometime soon?
netflix = be lazy + no due dates. + monthly subscription.
blockbuster = due dates + late fees (restocking fee) + monthly subscription.
ghetto blockbuster, really ghetto… just get over the brick and mortar, or use your thousands of stores with some WiMax, and bust out the distribution model to end it all.
