OpenID + Wordpress = <3

The pun is a little late for Valentine’s day, but I just noticed and installed it today. There is a working OpenID plugin for Wordpress. My previous method for using OpenID with Wordpress failed and stopped working several months ago, I forget when, I even left the plugin sitting there broken and activated [...]

OpenID Delegation

Any blog or webpage which you can edit the HTML, templates, or code, will allow you to support OpenID.
Read section 3.1.1. of the OpenID Authentication 1.1 spec.
It is as simple as adding two lines of HTML which point to an OpenID Identity Provider. I’m feeling so nice, I’ll even give two code examples which [...]

Quickie Howto install the OpenID Wordpress plugin.

My friend Dan Spisak was having issues with getting his wpopenid plugin to work. I had previously mentioned to him the method which I had gotten mine installed to him, but I think I forgot a step or something, after getting the latest SVN version. I had gotten OpenID support working on here already, [...]

Jyte enhances boredom.

I found this new web thing called Jyte yesterday, it’s pretty neat, and uses OpenID for it’s authentication system, so pretty much anyone can use it. To see a somewhat real-time status of what’s going on visit the spy.
Login to Jyte, and start creating claims, vote on others’ claims, give them credibility if they [...]

AOL

Huzzah! AOL is supporting OpenID, which is huge. [via] [via]
I don’t know how many users they have but it was once 26+ million. I wonder how many websites this year will now integrate OpenID support to tap this new resource? Let the flood of users begin.
A Key point for AOL users;
“Every AOL/AIM [...]

cool stuff.

I learned about PeopleAggregator earlier today after reading Dave Winer’s post. I signed up using my OpenID, which is great. I like the fact that you can use OpenID with it and being able to intergrate my feeds from, flickr, del.icio.us into new things is fun.
I might just be weird, but I also [...]

start.ns1.net - more opml goodness

I’m offering up start.ns1.net my branded version of Tucows Start Service to anyone. Essentially it is a free home page service, with a little more flair.
Word of Warning, though. If you do sign up, pick out a username, and password, then enter one of your junk email addresses, because unfortunately there is no [...]

OpenID Bounty

I can’t wait to see how OpenID will be intergrated with and web based software designed for it. OpenID posted a bounty for getting other software projects into using their distributed identity framework. US$5000 to ten projects that meet the requirements. I just got OpenID working earlier with my Wordpress install. [...]

comment support working again.

OK, I believe the comments should be fixed now and OpenID should also be working too. Using my own livejournal account, it works fine.  I would appreciate it if you have a chance to please try and leave a comment with your own LJ account or working OpenID setup.
