found dog update.

animal control just came by to pickup the rottweiler puppy. he didn’t have a chip. :(
he didn’t tear up my dad’s backyard during his brief stay, and he was very friendly with the two officers who picked him up. so hopefully if no one claims him, he will find a good home.
*good thoughts*

found dog!

well last night, i saw a couple stray dogs run down my street into the cul-de-sac. as with the last stray i tried to get both of them so they dont get hurt on the semi major street that runs next to my home. i was unable to get them last night, but this morning, one of them was still wandering around. i went inside, got a bisket, and dog collar, and went off to fetch the dog. it took me about 10 minutes to get the dog, and put him in the backyard while i wait for animal control to open. i got him a bowl of food, and some water. and brushed him for bout 20minutes on and off. i think the dog is a rottweiler, and he’s wearing a red collar. i’m guessing a puppy, coz he seems kinda small with big paws. but he definitely hasnt had anything to eat as of recently, coz he mowed down the first bisket i gave him, and half the food bowl.

but yea, he’s skinny, friendly, nice, and loves attention. i hope his owner is missing him, and that he gets to go home soon.

i highly doubt it, but just for the search engines. found dog, rottweiller puppy, near 7th and ocotillo, in sierra vista, az.

here are some pictures, and video of the puppy.

Tabasco Pesticide!

from yahoo!news.
Tabasco Crops Too Hot for Bunnies

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch farmers have devised a hot and spicy way to stop rabbits and rodents from munching their lettuce, carrots and wheat.

Spraying fields with the American sauce Tabasco sends the rabbits “three feet in the air” with shock and running for cover, said a spokesman for a local agriculture cooperative.

The Dutch animal protection society is happy with the spicy repellent, unworried by the possibility of burned bunny mouths.

“Preventive measures are exactly what we want. It’s better than going into the fields with a shotgun,” said animal welfare spokesman Niels Doorlandt.

The farmers will now try to make Tabasco an officially recognized pesticide for subsidized use on a larger scale. At least five small supermarket-sized bottles of the spicy sauce are needed for spraying 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of crops.

Although rain washes the Tabasco off, the crops are only sprayed in the first phases of growth to spare the taste buds of human consumers.

Video Shows KFC Supplier Harming Chickens

By BRETT BARROUQUERE, Associated Press Writer

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - An investigator for an animal rights group captured video of chickens being kicked, stomped and thrown against a wall by workers at a supplier for Kentucky Fried Chicken.

The footage, released online Tuesday, was secretly taken at the Pilgrim’s Pride plant in Moorefield, W.Va., by an investigator for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals who worked there from October to May.

PETA said its investigator also obtained eyewitness testimony about employees “ripping birds’ beaks off, spray-painting their faces, twisting their heads off, spitting tobacco into their mouths and eyes, and breaking them in half — all while the birds are still alive.”

Pilgrim’s Pride spokesman Ray Atkinson said the company is appalled by what it saw on the video, has reopened a previous investigation into complaints of chicken mistreatment and will fire any employees who are found to have violated company policies on animal welfare.

“These actions are completely contrary to all of our company’s practices and policies regarding the humane treatment of poultry,” Atkinson said.

KFC spokeswoman Bonnie Warschauer said in a statement that KFC told Pilgrim’s Pride it will buy no more chickens from its Moorefield plant unless the supplier provides assurances that the abuses are no longer taking place.

KFC also said it has hired an inspector trained in animal welfare investigations whose job will be to prevent similar abuses at the plant.

PETA has been pressuring KFC since last year, when it sued the company and called for a boycott, demanding that KFC require suppliers to treat animals more humanely. The group has recently won similar concessions from other major fast-food chains, including McDonald’s and Burger King.

PETA said it wants West Virginia authorities to prosecute plant employees and managers under state animal-cruelty laws. The animal rights group filed a complaint with Hardy County Prosecutor Lucas See in Moorefield, who did not immediately return a call Tuesday.

Wednesday

The Dr’s appt I had today went pretty cool. I fixed his electro something er other thing on his computer so he could do some tests on my back. he gave me a lil adjusting too, which felt good for a few hours.
Overall im feeling pretty good mentally.
i need to get on finding an apartment though. something that i can have Negative in, and has washer dryer hookups, a pool to relax by, and maybe a garage, if not just some decent parking.
I got a list of 5 places that say animals OK, and are within my price range in Huntington beach, and 1 in LB, and 1 in CM, they are both less expensive, than in HB, but I would like to not live in CM. the one in LB, doesn’t say whether or not they accept pets, but I will call every single one on my list, and make appts or something to go see them all, if they are still availible, and accept pets. I would like to have a pool, but its not necessary. never mind the one in LB, i just bothered to look at its address, and its in the ghetto. fuck that.
