My day started out alright, then I got today’s mail. Since then I’ve been in a bad mood, like usual after having received yet another authorization denial letter from the insurance company. Only mailed yesterday, it’s quite amazing how prompt they are to issue a denial, and then see them take their sweet time for accepted authorizations and delay anything else.
I knew beforehand they would deny me relief, but it always stings a little when you know for sure and can read the actual writing on the wall. I just gotta keep on fighting the system for my benefits.
It sure would have helped to have had this information yesterday, when I had a scheduled appointment with my primary treating physician considering I emailed SCIF about the issue only two days prior. Now I gotta try communicating with him to see what is the next step before my next scheduled appointment which is in late March. I sense more forced down time and frayed nerves ahead.
