Drugs and Drugs

Glaxo-Smith-Kline, Eli Lilly, Drugs, and Drugs.

Ok, some drugs are Good, and there are bad ones too.

Yea I duno.

I’m really bored, and just started a new drug, Cymbalta, the other day. So here I am, using my favorite tool, Google, to learn up on this new bit of chemistry.

Of course the first link is the sponsored link to Eli Lilly’s Cymbalta Website.

Second part is direct links to online Pharmacies, Walmart, Drugstore.com, and Overstock.com? Overstock? Selling drugs? Guess thats a whole other rant.

Well, like most of the research I’ve done on these drugs perscribed to me, I have yet to find anything positive.

The first relevant link on the page is: http://www.prozactruth.com/cymbalta.htm

  • Cymbalta was approved by the FDA only a couple months ago.
  • The people who make the drug, don’t know if it works.

Cymbalta Effective for Women with Fibromyalgia, But Not Men

And of course my favorite site for Drug Info, CrazyMeds. Here is his take on Cymbalta; http://www.crazymeds.org/cymbalta.html

Had success with DRS spinal decompression therapy,,,,at Neck & Back Medical center. They advertise on TV> Medicare approved etc. Oso and 5 freeway off cabot…Great success for 11 months after 20 treatments last December (5 days a week)…had a flareup a couple weeks ago and trying again. Non invasive and comfortable…

I am researching Disc neucleoplasty ,,,internet describes it as a minimally invasive procedure with a wire to the bulge disc and sapped with radio waves, under local…and came across your blog…I found a pain management doctor in Lake Forest but has not called back with cash price as i do not think HMO will pay…Medicare approved which they will not do if it is not a worthwhile procedure. Primary care did not even know what I was talking about so sent printout from internet.

You might investigate… Sounds good to me…In the meantime they feel I did so well last year on DRS that I should try again…I also had luck with COX chiropractic table treatments, but lasted about six months and returns …sucks the bulge away from the nerve. Nerve pain goes into leg and foot….Beyond descritpion. Had to go to ER Monday ….got two shots ofdemeral and other thing but I can tell it is on the edge…

Your the first guy I have met with fibro…Sorry to hear you have it. I was on Cymbalta for about 8 weeks and it DID take away the pain, I was amazed. Unfortunatley I could handle the negative thoughts I was having so switched back to my fave a.d., Lexapro.

Good luck, dude! write me if you want to talk about fibro or drugs. I look at a lot of the same drug sites you do and feel like my friends should be paying me for pharmacutical advice :)
