Just had another nice conversation with Mr Jones. Not his real name. He’s called me a few times now. This time I was fortunate to learn some more information about my fellow injured worker. Apparently he has been having the majority of the same issues that I had in my dealings with Ms. Allread. It’s not right for people who provide an invaluable service to double talk, and insist on a single mode of communication, especially email. I myself am quite computer savy, but for others I would liken the experience of dealing with a lawyer via email to that of sending out messages in old Corona bottles into the ocean. He mentioned that he himself has had to do much of the fighting for his case to be accepted. That is such a shame. What’s the purpose of having a lawyer then? Oh yea to send you to their butchers. Why you ask? So that when the case is good and settled the two friendly sets of people get to easily negociate the bill, and take a little off the top for themselves. It all just seems like a big scam to me. I just want to get healed. I could care less about a settlement check.
Another unfortunate issue he has had to deal with now is a failed lower back surgery, leaving him with more complaints and issues than before. I have yet to ever personally hear of a successful back surgery. The procedures I have gone through have left me no better, and from what I can tell no worse. Back surgery is a major thing, which I feel should be left for the extreme event. It puts a lot of stress on one’s mind, and body, and the support structure that one has, if any. Of course the insurance company or lawyers could care less if your losing your mind stuck in a bed unable to do anything for the next few weeks after a surgery. I didn’t have a fusion. But after my neucleoplasty I was pretty jacked up for 4 weeks. I frankly couldn’t and don’t wish to imagine anything of a more severe nature. I wish doctors wouldn’t push or cooierce people into uneeded risky back surgery, damn butchers. How many Doctors/Surgeons have you met or heard of having a back surgery? Me none. Why because they know it’s most likely a waste of time.
